A hospital has warned people to expect delays for the next four weeks as roadworks take place right outside the entrance.
The work is taking place on the Watling Street roundabout outside Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford.
It will mean four-way temporary lights will be installed on the roundabout.
The work begins tomorrow (Tuesday) and is expected to take four weeks to complete.
Darent Valley Hospital shared a post online to warn visitors and outpatients of potential disruption getting to and from the hospital.
A statement said: "Traffic disruption - UK Power Network are about to begin cable route excavation work on April 5 around Watling Street roundabout, just outside Darent Valley Hospital.
"This work will include putting in four way temporary lights on the roundabout while the work is ongoing.
"Please keep this in mind when planning your journey to the hospital and that the disruption will add extra time to your journey."
A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service advised motorists to be very aware of any ambulances on lights and sirens looking to negotiate any traffic.
