A woman and child had to be freed from their vehicle and taken to hospital after the car they were travelling in left the carriageway and ended up down an embankment.
The emergency services were called out to the London-bound carriageway of the A20 Swanley bypass at about 3.30pm after the car left the road.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident and the woman and child, who have not been named, had to be freed by firefighters as they were both trapped inside the vehicle.
Crews used their specialist cutting equipment to cut the roof of the car and get the pair out.
They were both taken to hospital by ambulance and are believed to have suffered only minor injuries.
