Woman assaulted officer after bottomless Prosecco brunch at Bluewater

A woman who assaulted a police officer at Bluewater after getting drunk at a bottomless Prosecco brunch will now have to wear an electronic tag.
Natalie Waters, of Newslands Lane, Meopham, near Gravesend, kicked PC Michel in the leg after police were called to the Greenhithe shopping centre when she began swearing at staff in TGI Fridays.
She was arrested and charged with being drunk and disorderly and assaulting the emergency worker on Saturday, September 14.
The 35-year-old appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court yesterday where she pleaded guilty to both offences.
Prosecutor Barney Nickolls told the court police were called when Waters began to swear at restaurant staff, telling them to "**** off and go away".
She became abusive to police as they arrested her and while sitting on the floor, she kicked PC Michel above the knee, while wearing her four-inch wedge heels.
The court also heard how jobless Waters had previously struggled with alcohol problems and following the hour-long event, didn't have any recollection of what she had done.
PC Michel explained in a statement how he'd dealt with "tonnes of abuse" in his 23-year career, but it still "continues to disgust" how people are aggressive and abusive towards emergency services.
Waters had previous similar incidents with police in 2014 and 2015.
She was given a three-month curfew to stay at her home between 8.30pm and 6.30am, as well as having to pay £225 in costs.
