Dartford: Woman in her 80s targeted by burglar in Herald Walk

Cash, a passport, chequebook and bank card were stolen after a woman in her 80s was targeted by a burglar.

The victim, who lives in Herald Walk in Dartford, received a knock on her door between 8pm and 9pm on Wednesday.

When she answered it, she was met by a woman who appeared distressed asking to use her toilet.

Once inside, she asked for a glass of water. She then went into the victim's kitchen to use a telephone to book a taxi.

The octogenarian only realised the items had been stolen once the burglar had left.

The offender has been described as about 5ft 6ins tall, white, of average build, aged between 30 and 35 and with a local accent. She was also wearing a green raincoat with the hood up.
