Hangloose Adventure Bluewater set to launch new attractions
09:00, 28 June 2022
A zip wire adventure park will be opening two new rides this summer to celebrate its opening year.
Hangloose Adventure Bluewater already has England's longest zipwire but it will be inviting guests to try out a new giant swing and the UK's only outdoor skydive machine.
Thrill seekers can be strapped in a giant swing, suspended 50 metres above the cliff edge overlooking Bluewater’s chalk cliffs, lakes and nature areas. They will then "drop the height of a 22-storey building".
The outdoor skydive machine will offer people "the thrill of flying in the great outdoors" and provide "a family-friendly experience with unique wind tunnel solutions that can fly you up into some breath-taking views of nature".
It is being created by Aerodium who design, manufacture and operate vertical wind tunnels for different functions all over the world.
Hangloose Adventure Bluewater opened on June 28 last year and since then, has seen more than 30,000 people travel over 22,000km on the zip wire.
The attraction has also now opened the zipwire to people with limited mobility, including wheelchair users, by allowing them to book early opening sessions.
This service will allow those with limited mobility to enjoy a relaxed experience and carers can ride with them for free.
The Kent attraction has also raised money for several charities including East Kent Dementia Appeal, Kent Autistic Trust and We Are Beams.
James Waugh, Centre Director at Bluewater, said: "It’s been a thrilling 12 months and we’ve been delighted to welcome tens of thousands of guests to this new attraction – we’ve had visitors from all corners of the UK and overseas including Europe, Africa and the US.
"As well as bringing so much fun to so many people, we are especially proud that we have been able to support so many charities raise valuable funds for such great causes."
