Charlton manager Karl Robinson reaction to the 2-2 draw against MK Dons

Charlton boss Karl Robinson blasted referee Andy Woolmer after he awarded MK Dons a last-minute penalty on Saturday.
The visitors snatched a 2-2 draw at The Valley but Robinson was far from happy as Mr Woolmer pointed to the spot on the advice of his assistant.
“That was the softest decision he gave all day,” said Robinson. “The top and bottom is that we’ve been robbed two points by no fault of our own.
“He couldn’t even give me an answer. I’ll tell you a great story about him. I’ll get fined but I don’t really care, I’m past worrying about him.
“I just said to him there were two or three things that happened in front of me.
“Something happened in front of me and I said to the fourth official that’s a free-kick and he said ‘yeah, I’ve just told him (the referee) it is’. The referee chose not to use it.
“Yet he had a better angle than the assistant referee to give the penalty.”
MK Dons proved robust opponents but rather than criticise his former club, Robinson felt it was down to the officials to clamp down on their approach.
The Charlton boss also thought Ed Upson was fortunate to avoid a red card before he was substituted around the hour mark.
“You saw how happy they were getting a point,” said Robinson.
“It shows how far we’ve come because last time we played them here they murdered us (MK Dons won 2-0 in April).
“I’m so proud of my players and how far they’ve come in that period of time.
“First hour we were excellent. I can’t have a go at them, something out of their control (cost us the game).
“We’ve been kicked all game. Upson elbowed someone on the back of head in front of me and he chose to do nothing about it. Their manager brought him off as he knew he was on the line (of being sent off). It baffles me.
“You can’t knock them for being aggressive, that’s football, but it’s the referee’s job to control it.
“The players, the fans – excellent. I can’t ask anymore as manager of this club.”
