Boxing Day win gives Dartford hope of repeating the trick against Ebbsfleet, says defender Tom Bonner

Tom Bonner has insisted there is no reason why Dartford cannot claim a derby double on New Year’s Day.
The Darts won at Princes Park on Boxing Day and will go above Ebbsfleet if they can claim maximum points at Stonebridge Road.
Bonner said: “Going to Stonebridge Road is going to be a tough game but I think we go there with that bit more confidence.
“If we play like we did on Boxing Day we can win again. If we play to our strengths we can beat any team in this league, home or away.
“We really turned it on, we matched them for the battle and I believe we deserved the three points. If we do that again then I fancy us."
It was a sweet moment for Bonner to score the opener on Boxing Day against the club he left in the close season.
“As I came out before the game I could hear a bit of stick so that made it easier to celebrate how I did!” he added.
“It was a great moment. I haven’t scored yet this season so to get one against your old team, who are also the club’s arch rivals, was a great feeling."
Dartford will go into the top three if they win at Fleet but Bonner warned: “It’s always nice when teams around you drop points but we’ve got to go to Ebbsfleet and if we don’t turn up and put a performance in there then Boxing Day will count for nothing.
“It’s nice to make up points but there’s such a long way to go.”
