Dartford have three games left to save themselves from relegation and manager Tony Burman still believes they can pull off the Great Escape.

Burman’s side have spent the last 22 weeks entrenched in the Skrill Premier bottom-four but survival is still possible.

Seemingly cut adrift at the turn of the year, the Darts have been reeling in their relegation rivals ever since they drew 1-1 at Welling on January 10.

But time is running out if they are to finally escape the drop zone. Dartford visit Braintree on Good Friday and then host relegated Tamworth on Easter Monday, before finishing the season at Nuneaton next Saturday.

Burman said: "We’ve done tremendously well to get back into it. You’ve still got to believe that you can get out of it.

"From the Welling away game, January 10 on a Friday night, we got a draw there and the guys started to believe a little bit. The players who hadn’t been playing that well, all of a sudden, they started to play well.

"You can’t hide the fact that the second half of the season has been decent. We’ve had to catch up on a lot of points and we’ve done that.

"The guys have done all right and it’s been a tremendous effort to keep us in touch. We’ve got to keep trying and keep our heads up."
