Tony Burman’s summer recruitment drive began on Tuesday with the arrival of tough tackling midfielder Danny Dafter.
The Dartford manager pounced for the former Brentwood captain as he begins to mould his squad ahead of next season’s Ryman League, Premier Division campaign.
Burman expects more players to follow imminently and he was pleased to sign a player who cared more about his footballing career than his bank balance.
“It was nice to talk to a player who wants to come to this football club for no other reasons than to play at a high level and play in these facilities,” said Burman.
