Praise for midfielder Elliott Bradbrook from Tony Burman after Dartford captain joins his manager in 100 club

Elliott Bradbrook has become only the fifth Dartford player to break the 100-goal barrier.

The Dartford captain, right, scored twice as his team twice came from behind to beat Slough in the FA Cup third qualifying round last Saturday.

Boss Tony Burman saluted his goalscoring midfielder, claiming there was nobody close to him at their level.

Burman said: “He gets on the end of some real good crosses, so a lot of it is about the provider, but he reads them so well. He has been an absolute rock for us and full credit for the amount of goals he has scored.

“He is the best goalscoring midfielder in the league, not by a little bit, but by far. There is nobody better, in my opinion, at scoring goals from midfield.”

Burman heads the Dartford all-time scoring charts with 159 and Bradbrook, 31, is unlikely to challenge that record – but Burman wouldn’t mind.

“He will score a lot more and full credit to him,” he said.

“He has been a fantastic servant for us. He still has a few more goals and will need to go some to reach that total (159), but I would love it if he managed to do it.”
