Tony Burman confident his Dartford side will be too strong for Tonbridge Angels in battle for place in FA Cup first round

Dartford are chasing a place in the first round of the FA Cup this weekend.
With six straight wins in all competitions boss Tony Burman feels the good times could be returning and a win away to Tonbridge Angels in the final FA Cup qualifier would boost those hopes even further.
Burman said: “We know Tonbridge will be tough but with the way we are playing we are going to take some stopping.
“There is a feel-good factor around the club at the moment and we hope that continues. We have been down in the dumps over the last couple of seasons and maybe this is our time again."
Dartford’s good form led to Burman scooping the National League South manager-of-the-month award for September. His team were unbeaten in that month.
A 5-0 victory over Truro last time out leaves the Darts just two points away from the play-off places. But it’s the FA Cup that takes centre stage.
The Darts have already beaten Chelmsford and Slough away in previous rounds, scooping up £12,000 prize money in the process, and could bag another £12,500 in winnings this weekend - as well as a potentially lucrative first round tie as the League 1 and 2 clubs enter at the next round.
Tonbridge have won three qualifying games to get to this stage and are sitting in the play-off places in the Ryman League Premier Division.
Burman said: “Their manager Steve McKimm has been there a couple of years now and he’s stamped his authority on the team. They’ve done very well. I am looking forward to a really good game.”
