Dartford boss Tony Burman won’t be doing his under pressure former captain any favours this weekend.

Burman’s side are at home to a Concord Rangers team managed by Adam Flanagan, who twice won promotion with the Darts.

Concord are bottom of the pile in National League South and desperate for points, with just one win from 11 games so far. Burman’s side will be out to inflict a little more pain.

Burman said: “It has not gone right for him so far this season but I hope it does, once Saturday is out of the way.

“They did ever so well last year and beat us at home. He is someone I speak to on a regular basis and I am always on the end of the phone if he needs my help.

“It’s a two-way thing, though and I’ve asked Adam for help as well. He has potential to be a good manager and he did well at Brentwood previously and now has a tough job at Concord.”

Flanagan’s team enjoyed a 2-1 win at Dartford last season, winning with a wonder goal from former player James White. The Darts head into this weekend’s game injury-free and sit in the top 10, knowing a run of results will move them into the mix at the top of the table.

Burman has allowed Ben Francis and Richard Seixas to join Leatherhead as he looks to hand some academy players the chance to join the first team. Francis is on a month’s loan and Seixas is on a dual registration.
