Dartford v Hastings
Dartford aim for some light relief this Saturday when they put their league woes behind them and turn their attentions towards the FA Cup.
A last-gasp equaliser against basement side Heybridge Swifts on Tuesday night kept them off the bottom of the Ryman League Premier Division table but they are still looking for their first home win of the season.
They will be aiming to put that right this weekend when they welcome Hastings to Princes Park for an FA Cup first round qualifying tie.
The Darts have already tasted defeat at home to the same team in the league. They were beaten 2-0 by hastings on August 23 and manager Tony Burman is eager to put a few things right.
“If we can pull off a win it would be nice,” he said. “It hasn’t got the frustration of the league games. The FA Cup is good for everybody to be involved in at the club and I’m hoping that the players give a performance that I’m sure they are capable of.
“It’s a little bit of a distraction and hopefully it will be a welcome one.”
Adam Flanagan (back) may return but definitely missing is influential midfielder Jamie Day, who starts a three-match ban.
Captain Alex O’Brien may need an operation on an Achilles injury and Steve Norman is set to see a specialist about a hernia problem. Nick Barnes is also out.
