Dartford duo Charlie Sheringham and Ronnie Vint have gone out on loan in a bid to play regular football.

Vint, 24, started the first seven games of the season but has lost his place in the side to Connor Essam.

With Josh Hill mainly an unused substitute this season, Vint has joined fellow National League South side Dulwich Hamlet for a month.

Dartford manager Steve King said: "Ronnie Vint had a hell of a start for us when we let in three goals in five games and Connor has come in and hit the ground running.

"Ronnie has moved down the pecking order, we didn’t want to put two centre-halves on the bench, and he wasn’t getting in the squad the last three games.

"We had a quick chat, Ronnie is one that needs to keep playing so he has gone to Dulwich for a month. Hopefully he can make a big impact there. He jumped at the chance of going out and playing games."

Sheringham has started twice for Darts and come off the bench four times to date this campaign. He missed a penalty in the 1-0 home defeat to St Albans earlier this month.

The 32-year-old striker has joined Chelmsford for the next six weeks.

"Charlie needed to play some games," said King. "Charlie found his chances limited, there were three or four clubs that came in for him. He chose to go to Chelmsford and I backed him with that.

"Charlie went out last year and came back and did ever so well, and he started in two of the three play-off games.

"It’s about going out with the right attitude and having an impact on loan."

There has also been one permanent departure from King's squad with midfielder Abdul Osman leaving Princes Park.

The 33-year-old made one start on the opening day of the season and featured twice as a substitute since then.

"It hasn’t really worked for him," said King. "He was homesick and has family in Scotland so it was best for him to go up there to play his football."

Dartford are in National League South action on Saturday when they travel to Hungerford.
