Two late goals condemned Dartford to another home defeat on Sunday afternoon.

Kidderminster's Marvin Johnson struck twice in the last 11 minutes to turn the game on its head and leave the relegation-threatened Darts empty-handed yet again.

Tony Burman's side had made a dream start when Ryan Hayes scored direct from a corner inside 45 seconds.

They defended heroically in the second half but Johnson's two goals, which lifted Harriers into the Vanarama Conference play-off places, saw Dartford drop below Alfreton to 22nd - still seven points from safety with 18 games remaining.

There were four changes to the Dartford team which started at Braintree on New Year's Day. New signing Nathan Green made his debut on the left wing and there were recalls for full-back Callum Driver, winger Ryan Hayes and central midfielder Max Cornhill.

Lee Noble, Luke Daley and Peter Sweeney dropped to the bench and Tom Bender wasn't involved at all. In the absence of injured keeper Jason Brown, Deren Ibrahim continued in goal.

For the visitors, new signing Akwasi Asante made his full debut in attack, replacing Reece Styche, while Callum Gittings came in for the injured Aman Verma.

Dartford made a dream start. They won a corner after just 25 seconds and scored directly from it, Hayes' left-footed delivery from the right-hand side curling inside the near post as goalkeeper Danny Lewis struggled to get across.

Hayes was in the mood and that spelt bad news for Kidderminster, who were slow to get into their stride. Dartford were winning tackles all over the pitch and using the ball well to pin the men in yellow and purple back into their own half.

When the visitors did come to life, Ibrahim grabbed Kyle Storer's tame header and Gittings saw his powerful effort from outside the box deflect behind.

But Harriers received a big let-off midway through the first half. Hayes floated a fantastic ball across with his right foot and Tom Bradbrook planted a free header wide when he looked set to score.

It would prove to be an expensive miss.

Darts did at least reach half-time with their slender lead intact, Ibrahim diving low to keep out a goalbound Johnson strike and Gittings volleying well wide.

But as the temperature dropped, the visitors turned up the heat after the interval.

Jordan Tunnicliffe headed wide from Kevin Nicholson's deep corner and Johnson had a shot blocked after receiving Asante's pass into feet and turning sharply in the penalty area.

Dartford were under the pump and they needed to relieve the pressure.

Green, who had gone close torwards the end of the first half, tried his luck with a volley from the edge of the box after Harriers failed to clear another Hayes corner - but he failed to hit the target.

The pressure kept building at the other end.

Johnson broke quickly and forced another save from Ibrahim and when he curled a wicked cross into the box moments later, it needed a brilliant diving header from Mat Mitchel-King to clear the danger.

It looked like it might just be Dartford's day when Ibrahim turned substitute Jamie Spencer's header against the bar and Asante failed to knock in the rebound from close-range.

But the home side's luck was about to run out.

Johnson raced through the middle and lifted the ball delicately over Ibrahim for the equaliser - despite Mitchel-King's best efforts to clear it off the line.

The home faithful responded, roaring their team forward, and Cornhill saw his shot deflected behind.

But it was Kidderminster who had the final word. Johnson, the best player on the pitch, finished off a superb passing move by driving the ball beyond Ibrahim for a late Harriers winner.
