As many as 10 potential new signings will come in for meetings at Dartford next week.

Strikers and a goalkeeper are top of Jamie Coyle and Adam Flanagan's shopping list as the transfer market opens for business.

The pair are keen to avoid a big turnover of players but accept improvements are required after missing out on the play-offs.

Talks have already taken place with this season's players, who met with the joint-managers individually on Tuesday and Wednesday.

"We're having conversations about next year," said Coyle. "We've offered some deals already to current players so we're hoping, by the end of the week, to have answers on those.

"We've got eight to 10 new players coming in to have a look around and see the ground, and meet us face-to-face, that we're talking about the potential of signing them for next year.

"It's going to be a real busy two weeks.

"I know it's silly season because everyone's speaking to everyone and playing clubs off against each other, which happens in football, but hopefully we can show them around Dartford and explain the professionalism of the club, the GPS vests, the nutritionists and the recovery shakes we do, the changing-room and the environment we've got.

"Hopefully it will attract the right type of player that wants to help us push the club forward."

Reaching decisions on some of this season's squad might not be straightforward.

Coyle said: "It's going to be difficult because we've got a number of players who finished the season injured.

"We're unsure about whether two or three of them are going to need operations so it's a difficult one in terms of offering concrete offers.

"We're not going to know whether it's going to be a long-term injury.

"Billy Crook might need an operation, Mark Onyemah has struggled with his knee, Callum Driver's come back from a long-term injury and you've got Andy Pugh with his broken leg so it's going to be a difficult one with a numbers of players.

"We don't know whether it's operations or a return to fitness so they're conversations we've got to have individually this week.

"We don't want a huge turnover of players because we've tried to build a spine of the team that have done well this year but clearly we need to add in the final third with regard to more goals.

"Whether that's more creativity in midfield or whether it's the frontline we look at, we know that's an area we definitely need to concentrate on."
