Dartford are still waiting for their first win of the season in the Vanarama Conference.

Tony Burman's men lost 1-0 at Kidderminster on Saturday and they would have been on the wrong end of a much bigger defeat had it not been for goalkeeper Jason Brown, who joined the Darts from Sutton in the summer.

Brown started his impressive display with a seventh-minute stop to turn over Craig Reid's close-range attempt before he then denied Kyle Storer with Reid's follow-up being ruled out for offside.

Rory McAuley went closest for Dartford in the first half, scrambling the ball wide following a corner, but it was Brown who was again to the fore as he denied Jack Byrne

Dartford were finally beaten four minutes before half-time as Marvin Johnson set up Storer, who drove a low effort beyond the reach of Brown.

Brown denied Reid again after the break and while chances were less noteworthy in the second half for the hosts, they continued to impress and dominate.

Substitutes Tom Bradbrook and Ryan Hayes gave Darts added impetus late on but they never looked like seriously troubling keeper Danny Lewis.

Dartford, who have one point from their first three games, host Torquay next Saturday.
