Staines v Dartford

A tough start to Dartford’s Ryman League Premier Division campaign gets a lot tougher this Saturday with a trip to high-flying Staines.

The Darts suffered heartache on Tuesday night when former player Junior Kadi scored an injury-time winner for Carshalton in a 3-2 win at Princes Park that left his former club sitting fourth from bottom.

The defeat was made all the worse with injuries to Nick Barnes (ankle) and Adam Flanagan (back). Both players are doubtful for the trip to third-placed Staines.

Alex O’Brien and Ray Powell are out as they both serve the last game of a three-match ban.

Boss Tony Burman said: “We have to pick the players up but it is difficult because things are going against them at the moment.

“Staines are one of the favourites to win the league and it will be a tough game.”
