Tony Burman admits Dartford have hit a brick wall.
They lost 2-1 at Maidenhead on Tuesday and that was their third straight loss in National League South.
A run of five games without a win has seen them drop to seventh, five points outside the play-off places with nine games left.
Burman said: "We’ve hit a brick wall and we can’t get through it at the moment.
"The last few results have not helped the confidence. Players can’t, at this stage of the season and where we are in the league, feel sorry for themselves but unfortunately that’s how it seems to come across a little bit.
"They have been very good and they’ve worked really hard to get themselves into the position they are in. We’ve got to get back to winning ways and it’s got to happen sooner rather than later.
"We’ve taken a knock over the last couple of weeks and it’s hit the confidence. We’ve got to get out of it very quickly."
Dartford were without Danny Harris (hamstring) at Maidenhead while George Sykes was also absent after falling ill during Saturday's 4-2 home defeat to Whitehawk.
Burman said: "I would think it’ll be a couple of weeks for Danny.
"We lose Elliot Bradbrook as well on Saturday for three games through something that’s happened two weeks ago (he was sent off at Weston).
"I had to leave Lee Noble and Barry Cogan on the bench simply because of what happened on Saturday. With Elliot missing, I needed to keep them right for Saturday.
"Although they came on last night, it’s a gradual thing. If I push them too much, they’ll end up being injured as well.
"Sykesy didn’t recover from illness, it’s just something that’s going round the club at the moment. Elliot had it on Saturday and George has got it now. It’s that time of the year, it happens.
"They’re things to test you. We can’t use them as excuses - but they are facts."
