Dartford manager Tony Burman on 0-0 draw at Welling

Dartford manager Tony Burman felt his team didn't show enough quality to win at Welling on Tuesday night.
The Darts bagged a point from a goalless derby at Park View Road in National League South.
"I didn’t think we did enough to win the game," said Burman. "We’ve had two difficult away games.

"We lost two points on Saturday (at Oxford City) but (against Welling) I don’t think we did enough to win the game. We got a draw in a local derby which in all fairness isn’t a bad result.
"I would have taken it (before the game). I didn’t want to lose, all credit to the players, they’ve dug in.
"We got into good positions in the first half but didn’t really test the keeper. We’ve made some indifferent decisions when we’ve got into good areas and they were the wrong decisions in the end.
"In the second half I felt we got a little bit bullied. We didn’t stand up like I thought we should have done. It surprised me. There wasn’t any presence up front for us and that backfired on us a little bit."
Burman reiterated his belief that playing against teams in the bottom half of the table, when they have one eye on teams below them trying to catch them up, is a difficult task.
"Welling are in a position they don’t want to be in and Oxford were the same," he said. "These games are more difficult than playing against the teams in and around us.
"You need to win these games and that’s what we have been doing.
"The corners and set pieces weren’t right, we never won one second ball. That’s where we are decent and get a lot of goals from but the delivery just wasn’t good."
On keeper Deren Ibrahim, who denied Welling a winning goal in stoppage time, Burman added: "He pulled off a couple of good saves, that’s his job and he is told when he’s done alright. Like the forwards, they’re told when they’ve done alright and they haven’t scored tonight."
