Former Ebbsfleet striker Darren McQueen has joined Dartford on loan.

McQueen left Fleet to sign for Sutton United in November but has only started one game in the National League since then.

The arrival of the 23-year-old is a big boost to the Darts as they bid to qualify for the National League South play-offs.

McQueen scored 20 goals in that division two seasons ago, including Fleet's winner in the play-off final.

He frightened defenders with his pace and predatory instincts but then suffered a serious knee injury.

McQueen missed most of last season but featured in 15 games this term before leaving Stonebridge Road as part of Ebbsfleet's financial restructure.

He's set to make his Darts debut at Slough on Saturday.

Joint-managers Adam Flanagan and Jamie Coyle said: "We are very excited to bring Darren to the club. It is an initial one-month loan that, if all parties agree, can be extended until the end of the season.

"Darren did extremely well for Ebbsfleet and was a threat with his speed and direct play. He deservedly gained two England C call-ups and prior to an injury had offers from League clubs.

"We are hoping he will have a really positive impact with us and that with Phil Roberts, Charlie Sheringham and, hopefully at some point, Andy Pugh, we now have a strikeforce that has a little bit of everything.”

Meanwhile, fellow strikers Kudus Oyenuga and Delano Sam-Yorke have both gone out on loan to Bostik Premier clubs.

Oyenuga has joined Haringey Borough while Sam-Yorke has returned to Kingstonian.

Flanagan and Coyle said: "Kudus has joined Haringey on an initial month's loan to get some starts and to build up his match minutes.

"Delano did well at Kingstonian a couple of months ago but due to an injury he returned to us.

"He has now recovered from this and returns to Kingstonian until the end of the season."
