Dartford FC youngster Alfie Cue finding his way in men's football
00:00, 11 August 2017
Young talent Alfie Cue has what it takes to make it in men’s football – if he listens to advice from his coaches.
That’s the view of Dartford manager Tony Burman, who has promoted Cue and five other academy players into his first-team squad for this season.
Cue, 18, caught the eye in pre-season and didn’t look out of place on his senior debut against Hungerford on Saturday.
Burman said: "Since Christmas time, he’s knuckled down in the academy.
"He’s done his final year in the academy and we had him in for training at the end of last season.
"He’s come in and done all right. He’s got strength, he’s a big lad and got a great throw.
"It’s something we could do with around the place and it causes some problems.
"He’s got a lot to learn but I hope and I’m sure he will, listen to us.
"It’ll be a learning curve so we’ll see what happens."
