Dartford FC travel to Truro City after losing to Swindon Town in FA Cup

Tony Burman wants Dartford to learn from their FA Cup experience when they resume their title quest at Truro on Saturday.
Darts fly to Cornwall top of National League South on goal difference but licking their wounds after a 5-1 drubbing against Swindon.
The League 2 side were efficient in both boxes and that’s the sort of ruthlessness Burman is hoping to see over the remainder of Darts’ league campaign.
He said: “The players are disappointed with the way things have gone.
“We’re back to the nitty-gritty on Saturday and we’ll have a reaction to the Swindon result but we’ve got to bring it into perspective.
“We were playing a good side on top of their game and we’ve been punished. That’s being ruthless.
“Swindon, when they headed the ball from crosses and long throws, their defending was excellent and they got distance on the ball.
“Regardless of what anybody else says about ‘they should be playing out’, no, sorry, that’s what you have to do if you want to win leagues. Swindon are having a go at doing that and we will learn from it.
“We’ve loved the FA Cup but it’s gone now. It’s made us some good friends, given us publicity and it’s also made us some money.
“But our nitty-gritty is a long trip down to Truro on Saturday, that’s where our bread and butter is and hopefully we can perform and get a response.”
Truro could climb into the play-off places with a win while the six clubs immediately below Dartford are all within three points.
Burman said: “Whoever goes on a three or four-match winning streak, that could be a big difference at this moment in time. We’re at the top right now and we’ve got to keep ticking over.
“We won’t play against 11 players as good as Swindon in our league, a team at the top of their game.
“We move on to a difficult game away to Truro. Our aim is to win our league and we’re having a good effort at making that happen.
“These FA Cup runs are fantastic while they last and we’ve done ever so well. Yes, we came unstuck on Sunday, but there was no lack of effort.
“We have missed certain players but to be top of our league with those players missing is a good achievement. I’m well pleased with where we are.”
