Dartford FC joint-boss Jamie Coyle on the search for a striker

Dartford are in the market for a new centre-forward as they bid to address their goal shortage.
Only four teams in National League South have scored less than Darts, who occupy a play-off spot with a negative goal-difference.
Jamie Coyle and Adam Flanagan's side have found the net only 21 times in 18 games and the pair are working to make a new signing.
Joint-boss Coyle said: "We’ve made a couple of approaches for new players.
"One signed a pre-contract agreement after our seven days went in, with a League 1 club, and there’s one we’re discussing terms with at the moment to hopefully add some value to the squad.
"We’ve been looking for two or three weeks. We need more quality in the final third and players to give each other a run for their money in terms of competition for places.
"We are actively trying to recruit in that area but it’s difficult and it has been all season.
"The players we’re talking to are getting offered ridiculous deals in the league below, that we can’t even compete with, so it’s crazy.
"We’ve got to find the right type of player who’s going to buy into the ethos of the club, someone who’s going to come in and have that work-rate and desire the boys are showing at the moment.
"If they can add more quality to what we’ve already got, we’ll be in a great place."
Dartford created a host of good chances against Torquay on Tuesday night but failed to take any of them and ended up losing 2-0.
"We need to be more ruthless in front of goal," Coyle admitted.
"We are looking at adding a striker into the squad in the next couple of weeks to add more punch when we’re creating these opportunities.
"Kudus Oyenuga had three or four golden opportunities that he created himself, which is a positive.
"He looked like the player we saw last season and that's why we brought him to the club.
"He caused mayhem in the first half and he’s just got to turn those great opportunities into goals.
"You're always thinking you’re going to get that sucker punch at the other end and unfortunately it happened.
"Earlier in the season, when we went 1-0 down, the boys almost rolled over but on Tuesday their attitude, commitment and desire to get back in the game was there.
"That’s testament to them because they’ve built that character and camaraderie together."
Dartford are at home to Slough Town on Saturday.
