There will be more new signings at Dartford this summer – once they know for sure which division they’ll be in next season.

Hereford United were expelled from the Football Conference on Tuesday, meaning relegated Chester have been restored to the Premier Division.

And there could yet be a reprieve for the Darts, too, with troubled Salisbury City having been given until today (Thursday) to pay their debts or face expulsion.

Dartford, who finished 22nd in Skrill Premier, immediately below Chester, are now waiting.

That uncertainty means Darts boss Tony Burman has had to put his transfer talks on hold but he said: "I’m pleased with what we’ve done so far. We’ve got 12 guys on contract and the academy boys who have come through.

"There’s still more to come. Hopefully, there will be some more additions and the squad will be looking a lot stronger.

"I wanted to sign the players who have been with me and served the club for a long time. A lot of them want to right the wrong (of going down)."
