Dartford’s latest financial accounts show a profit of nearly £80,000 in the 2019/20 campaign.

The financial statement is for the year ending June 30, 2020, which takes into account the initial impact of Covid-19.

That campaign was halted in March although the play-offs were eventually played, with Dartford reaching the final.

They lost that game at Weymouth, missing out 3-0 on spot-kicks after a goalless draw.

Earlier in that campaign, the Darts parted company with joint-managers Adam Flanagan and Jamie Coyle, replacing the duo with current boss Steve King.

The accounts show Darts made a profit of £79,897, an increase from £23,930 in the previous 12 months.

The club also had cash at bank and in hand of nearly £115,000, up from just over £85,000 the previous year.

Last season, Darts spent much of the campaign in the top two of National League South, albeit having played more games than some of the teams around them, before the season was declared null and void in February.

They will also be aiming for promotion again this season, especially having made some quality signings for that level of football in the shape of Keiran Murtagh and Jake Robinson.

The new National League South season gets under way on Saturday, August 14.
