Dartford have signed former Gillingham goalkeeper Tommy Forecast on a one-month loan deal from Chelmsford City.

The 27-year-old arrives at Princes Park as cover for first-choice Darts keeper Alan Julian - another ex-Gills player.

Forecast will be in the Dartford squad for Saturday's FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie away to local rivals Ebbsfleet United.

Manager Tony Burman has not named a keeper on the bench for any of the Darts' last seven games.

He was almost forced to put an outfield player in goal for the Skrill Premier fixture against Southport on September 28, when Julian was delayed by heavy traffic on the M25.

Forecast has made six appearances for Chelmsford so far this season, having been released by Southampton in the summer.

He spent the whole of last season on loan with the Gills, although he only played four times for Martin Allen's side.

Allen offered Forecast a deal at Priestfield but the keeper featured for Chelmsford in pre-season and signed for the Skrill South side in August.

Forecast, who started his career at Tottenham, was also loaned out to Grimsby, Eastbourne Borough, Thurrock and Bromley during his five years with the Saints.
