Dartford want to extend striker Christian Doidge's loan spell for a second month.

The Dagenham & Redbridge player has impressed Darts manager Tony Burman enough to warrant an extended stay at Princes Park.

Doidge has played five games for Dartford since agreeing an initial month-long deal on January 16 although he's yet to find the back of the net.

"I think he's done well," Burman said. "The lad was out injured as well so I said to him 'I don't want you to pace yourself for 90 minutes, give me a good 60 or 70 minutes.'

"He's different to Pughy (Andy Pugh) and Harry (Crawford) and for me, he's done well.

"I was hoping he might nick a goal to make him feel a little bit better but it's not been for the want of trying.

"Dagenham have got to speak to Chris and if it comes out that he wants to stay for another month, we'll do that."

Dartford, five points from safety in the Vanarama Conference, are at home to Gateshead on Saturday.
