Elliot Bradbrook faces a race against time to be fit for Dartford's first game the of Vanarama Conference season at home to Wrexham this weekend.
The Darts skipper missed much of pre-season with an ankle injury he sustained in training.
Bradbrook did play for Dartford at Canvey Island on Saturday and against Greenwich Borough on Sunday, but he's a major doubt for Saturday's game at Princes Park.
Darts boss Tony Burman said: "Elliot’s been out for some weeks and he hasn’t had as many games as I would have liked.
"We’ll see what happens, but I am concerned about Elliot’s match fitness. Match-wise, he probably isn’t ready (to play), but we’ll see what happens.
"He got through 90 minutes on Sunday and 45 minutes on Saturday. Now we’ll see what reaction he’s got. He trains tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday.
"He’s an important player to us but we’ve got to be careful."
