Dartford returned home from Bristol Rovers empty-handed on Tuesday night.

Matty Taylor scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot, eight minutes before half-time, after Rory McAuley was adjudged to have fouled Adam Cunnington.

Harry Crawford had missed an early chance for the Darts and they went close in the second half when Max Cornhill headed substitute Ryan Hayes' corner against the crossbar.

But the match was overshadowed by alleged racist abuse directed at Dartford goalkeeper Jason Brown, who reported the incident on Twitter later that night.

Dartford are now outside the Vanarama Conference relegation zone only on goal-difference ahead of Saturday's game at home to Macclesfield Town.
