Fleetwood fires blank in Addicks opener

Stuart Fleetwood made his debut as a Charlton XI opened up their pre-season campaign with a 1-0 defeat against Bromley at Hayes Lane on Tuesday.
Substitute Karl Murray sealed the victory for the Blue Square South side after seeing his deflected free-kick fly inside the post just six minutes into the second half.
Charlton came closest when Grant Basey's free-kick clattered off the post in the opening period while Chris Dickson and Rashid Yussuff also spurned good chances.
The home side could have taken the lead as early as the third minute when Jonathan Fortune's slip allowed Jay May time to hit a shot which crashed off the crossbar.
Fleetwood came off the bench in the second half and caught the eye in the closing stages. He immediately showed good footwork to nip into the box before seeing his pull-back snared by Gareth Williams.
The striker then used his pace to meet a Scott Wagstaff cross, but his instinctive flick flew just wide.
