Dartford are bracing themselves for two home games in three days that could make or break their survival hopes in Skrill Premier.

Tony Burman’s side host high-flying Grimsby Town tonight (Thursday) before Forest Green Rovers visit Princes Park on Saturday.

It’s a punishing double-header which could either take Dartford to the brink of safety or leave them staring down the barrel of relegation.

Burman said: "It’s not what you want (playing two games in three days) but other teams have had to do it. It’s a funny time of year and form goes out of the window.

"Grimsby are in the play-offs and they’ll be coming to us trying to keep their momentum going. We’ll have to dig in. They played on Tuesday (against Woking) but they’re a full-time outfit and in the circumstances, that does help.

"My players, after the game on Thursday, have got to get up for work the next day and then we’ve got another game coming up against another full-time outfit.

"It’s a big two games but they’re all big games at the moment. We’ve just got to try to finish top of that mini-league."

Elliot Bradbrook (thigh) is a doubt for the Grimsby game.
