Elliot Bradbrook does not believe his new playing arrangements have resulted in a loss of form.

Bradbrook only stayed with Dartford in the summer after talks with joint-bosses Adam Flanagan and Jamie Coyle.

Work commitments saw Bradbrook miss Saturday’s FA Trophy draw at Eastbourne but he was back for Tuesday night’s replay and his 13 starts and two substitute appearances compare favourably with the rest of the squad.

“I’m playing pretty well,” said Bradbrook. “I’ve got five goals already.

“I’ve missed a game through suspension and then came on at centre-half against Hampton.

“That’s the arrangement I’ve made and I’m more than happy to fill in where I’m needed.

“I knew I wouldn’t be able to commit as much time and to as many games as I have done in the past.

“I was open and honest about that and it got to the point where I was going to walk away.

“But Coylie and Flan knew that coming in and they’ve been great to me.”

Bradbrook has turned out for Dartford more times than he expected.

He said: “The balance is a lot better. For me with work, football and family, it was getting too much to the point where I wasn’t going to be able to commit to it anymore.

“It was either give up or work under these arrangements.

“I am enjoying it because I’m getting that bit of extra freedom that I needed and haven’t had for the last 15 years of playing football.

“The work’s benefiting and my family’s benefiting which is the main thing.

“I’ve played more than I thought I would do. It’s great to be involved.”
