Julians leaves Darts by 'mutual consent'

MANAGER Gary Julians has parted company with Dartford FC by mutual consent after 254 games in charge. The announcement came following a meeting of the eight-strong board. Next month Julians would have celebrated five years as Darts' manager.

Micky Crowe, Julians' assistant, has also left and senior player Danny Evans placed in charge on a caretaker basis for the forthcoming games at Banbury on Saturday, the BOSE Kent Senior Cup tie on Tuesday and the home match against Burnham on December 8.

In a prepared statement, Steve Irving, Dartford's financial director, said: "Gary Julians and the club have parted by mutual consent. We would like to place on record our thanks for all he has done for the club and wish him well in the future."

Julians' job was on the line following a sixth successive defeat at home to Sittingbourne on Saturday. Though Darts bounced back to win 4-2 at St Leonards in the Dr Marten League, Eastern Division on Monday, it was too late to save his job.
