Dartford boss Tony Burman keen to have Leatherhead loanee Kaka Dembele up to full speed in January

00:00, 26 November 2015

Tony Burman hopes Kaka Dembele’s loan move to Leatherhead will stand him in good stead for Dartford’s busy start to 2016.

Darts are due to play six league games during January and Burman wants academy graduate Dembele fully up to speed so he can impact those games.

The winger has not been a regular starter in National South but he should be fully involved during his month with the Tanners.

Burman said: "Richard (Brady) had a problem with one of his forwards and it just seemed right.

"We agreed it before we knew the game at Maidenhead was off, so he’s already had one game and he’s got another one this Saturday.

"He’ll get five or six games, the same as George Sykes (at Canvey Island) and it gets him ready for that period over Christmas and January.

"You have to get games in and he’s going to do that. We’ve got something like six or seven games in January and I want them up to speed."

Dembele was one of three former academy players to step up into Dartford’s senior squad in the summer.

"I think he’s doing well," Burman said. "When he’s played or come on, he’s done OK.

"He’s been a little bit unlucky that decisions might not have gone his way but that happens.

"He’s still a young lad and he’s got a lot to learn. He will do that and he will progress. It’s all part of the learning curve for him."
