Former Ebbsfleet United captain Paul Lorraine returns to Stonebridge Road as a Dartford player on Easter Monday

Paul Lorraine makes an emotional return to Stonebridge Road on Easter Monday.

The former Ebbsfleet captain could make his Dartford debut in the north Kent derby after signing for Tony Burman's side until the end of the season.

Lorraine was a huge fans favourite during his time with Fleet and if he plays on Monday, it will be his first appearance back at the ground since leaving the club almost two years ago.

He said: "I love Ebbsfleet United. I was captain there for four years and it’s a club very close to my heart.

"As I said when I left there before and signed for Dartford, no-one can take the past away from me. It’s set in stone what I did for the club and what they did for me.

"The Dartford players and management have made me feel so welcome. They’re two great Kent clubs and I’m lucky to be associated with both of them."

Lorraine insists there will be no room for sentiment once the whistle blows.

He said: "Every training session and every game of football I play, I want to win and it’ll be no different on Monday if I’m playing for Dartford against Ebbsfleet."

Kick-off at Stonebridge Road is at 3pm.
