Darren McQueen has been reunited with Daryl McMahon after joining Dagenham & Redbridge.
McQueen, whose Dartford exit was announced at the weekend, previously worked with McMahon at Ebbsfleet, scoring 20 goals in 45 appearances in their National South promotion season.
A knee injury halted his progress but after a short spell at Sutton he was back to his best at Dartford last season, finishing top scorer with 18 goals as Steve King’s side made the play-off final.
McMahon told the Daggers website: "I'm delighted to have Darren join us here at Dagenham & Redbridge.
“He's a player that I've worked with before when I was at Ebbsfleet.
“He’s extremely quick, plays on the shoulder and is a good finisher.
"He comes here off the back of having a very good season with Dartford in the National League South.
“He’s a player that the rest of the team will enjoy playing with because of his directness and his pace and I’m sure he’s a player that the fans will enjoy watching because of his quickness and goalscoring ability."
McQueen feels ready to deliver after returning to the National League.
He said: “I just feel like this could be my year to show everyone what I can do.
“I’ve always wanted to make the step up. Obviously I’ve had a few doubters in my career, so I just want to show everyone I can do it at this level, as well as the level below.”
