There is more to come from on-loan winger Malachi Napa, according to Dartford boss Alan Dowson.

Napa has had his loan from National League outfit Wealdstone extended until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old, who has worked with Dowson previously, came off the bench to equalise in the second half for the Darts as they drew 2-2 at Welling last Saturday in National League South.

It was his second goal for the club - having initially joined on a one-month loan in December before he scored in the New Year’s Day 4-0 thumping of rivals Ebbsfleet.

“There’s more to come from Napa,” said the Darts manager.

“He has that in his locker. I’ve had him as a player before and he can do that. He needs to do it more consistently.

“We needed to [extend his loan].”

Dowson’s troops were stronger after the restart, helped by the introduction of Napa and fellow midfielder Luke Allen.

They have given their boss a selection headache with their cameo appearances.

“Him and Luke Allen both did well, to be fair,” Dowson said.

“Luke Allen could be the difference between us going up and not. But he’s spent a lot of time injured this season on the treatment table.”

While striker Alex Wall is serving a three-game ban after his red card against Worthing, the rest of the Princes Park club’s squad appears in good shape.

Dowson said: “We’re doing all right, to be fair. I don’t think there’s any injuries at the moment.

“All the new signings have settled in very well, especially Jernade [Meade]. We just need to make sure the rest of them do the same.

“I’ve been dying to have a selection headache.

“I feel like I’m going to have one soon. I’m looking forward to it.”
