Dartford's joint-managers have made decisions on their trialists.

Jamie Coyle and Adam Flanagan gave free agents one last chance to impress on Saturday as Dartford won 4-1 at Sevenoaks.

Matt Carter, Manny Igahore and Simon Mensah all started while Billy Roast played the second half.

Igahore looked lively down the Darts right, creating some good chances as well as hitting the post and forcing a save.

Former Charlton midfielder Carter, meanwhile, scored Dartford's second goal at the Bourne Stadium.

Flanagan said: "Today was the last game we'd set with regard to making decisions on the players we've had come in.

"We're mindful we want to work on bits and pieces and to be able to do that, we need to start determining what our first team is going to be.

"We've got a rough idea on that now so today was the last opportunity for the lads that have come in to impress and we'll speak to them in the next few days."

Andy Pugh was away on Saturday and fellow striker Alex Wall, one of Dartford's summer signings, sat the game out.

Flanagan said: "We took the view with Alex that, having played on the astro on Monday at Aveley, and with the knee issues he's had over the last two years, we didn't feel like we wanted to push it too much.

"It gave a good opportunity for us to showcase other players and he'll definitely feature (against Gillingham) on Tuesday."

Dartford were 3-0 up at half-time on Saturday and showed their quality going forward against the Southern Counties East champions.

Flanagan said: "It was a good workout in difficult conditions with the heat. I sometimes if the astro makes it even warmer with the heat bouncing off it but Sevenoaks moved the ball well.

"They're used to the surface more than our guys and it's a different formation that we've come up against so a good opportunity to see how we fared and how the players adapted to that.

"We could have moved the ball faster at times, especially when we were transferring it across the back, and we could have been more structured in our shape when they had possession."

Tuesday's game against the Gills at Princes Park kicks off at 7.30pm.
