Jamie Coyle has demanded a reaction from his Dartford players when they go west again this weekend.

Darts capitulated at Oxford City on Saturday, conceding three goals in 11 minutes as they were dumped out of the FA Cup.

Now an even longer trip awaits them in National League South as they go to Chippenham chasing a first away win in the league since the opening day of the season.

Dartford are 15th and lows like last weekend are hurting Coyle and his joint-manager Adam Flanagan.

Coyle said: "Me and Adam are Dartford through and through. We're fans of the club as well as management and it completely destroys your week.

"The players were hurting at the end of the game so we've got to pick them up.

"We'd been on a great run, we were four unbeaten and we had an opportunity to carry that on and build some momentum.

"We've taken a backward step but there's an opportunity to reset and go again."

"Chippenham have only lost once at home all season so it's going to be tough but we're expecting a huge reaction for everyone at the football club."

The league table is so tight Dartford are only three points outside the play-offs, while Chippenham could go third with a win.

Coyle said: "Me and Adam have been there with Welling and Concord and it's a tough place to go but I'm looking forward to it.

"After the second-half performance on Saturday, there has to be a reaction.

"We've got to be hard to beat, go back to basics and be more solid defensively.

"If we do that, we've got to be patient when the chances come and have more quality in the opposition box.

"We must be hard to break down. The key for most of the season is that we haven't been good enough in both boxes."

Since winning 2-1 at Bath on August 4, the Darts have only scored one goal and picked up one point on their travels in the league.

Coyle said: "Me and Adam are nowhere near happy with the performances. We've only put two or three really good displays on this season.

"It was always going to be a rebuild because we've lost some important players, whether they've moved on or been injured.

"We've got to start now putting on performances and turn them into results as well.

"What better way than to come off the back of poor performance Saturday and go on another winning run?"

Callum Driver is back in full training and could feature at Chippenham, while Charlton loanee Kenneth Yao has recovered after missing the Oxford game with concussion.
