Andy Pugh could resume full training within the next fortnight.

The Dartford striker hasn't played any football since breaking his leg in a pre-season friendly.

But his recovery's on track and Darts management hope to get Pugh back on the pitch for the National League South run-in.

Joint-boss Adam Flanagan said: "Andy Pugh is looking really good in training so we hope he’ll join in with everyone in the next two to three weeks.

"He could be massive for us because he’s like a new player coming to the club. We haven’t had him the whole season so he could still have a big role to play.

"He looks really good and he’s becoming more positive every week with what he can do.

"When you come back from that kind of injury, a lot of it is psychological and you’ve got to overcome that. It’s good to have him back around the place.

"That’s the one disappointment this season, that we’ve not been able to include him in what we’ve been doing.

"Andy is a fantastic player and he’s been a big loss for us this year.

"To have him back, even if it’s for the last four or six weeks of the season, if he’s anywhere close to being where he was, would be fantastic for us.

"We look forward to seeing how the next few weeks progress with him and it’ll be a fantastic feeling for everyone – himself included, and we would definitely not push him – if before the season ends he can feature at some point."
