Dartford joint-boss Adam Flanagan was pleased with his team's performance in their 2-2 draw with Hampton on Saturday.
The Darts needed a late equaliser from substitute Darren McQueen to rescue a point at Princes Park.
But, despite not creating many clear-cut openings, Flanagan was happy with how his team approached the game.
"The two goals (we conceded) we could have done better but I felt it was quite an assured performance from us," said Flanagan.
"It was the best we've been in possession. We didn't create the chances we'd have wanted to but I felt we put the ball into good areas.
"We managed to pin them back, especially in the second half, and overall there were more positive than negatives."
Darts could have even turned one point into three deep into stoppage time when keeper Ashley Maynard-Brewer tipped over Charlie Sheringham's long-range volley.
"I thought the momentum was with us and you see those kind of things happen in games at the end of the season," added Flanagan.
"The chance was Charlie's one, it was heading for the top corner and the keeper's pulled off a great save."
Despite dropping points, Darts remain on course to secure a play-off place in National League South.
Flanagan added: "When you look at the fixtures they're favourable but you can't take anything for granted in this league.
"Teams are fighting for their lives and so were Hampton. It's going to be a challenge. we need to apply ourselves the right way and if we do that then we've got good quality in the team.
"Our bench is looking strong and we believe in the players that we can secure a play-off place."
