Dartford goalkeeper Herbert Schotterl says Princes Park is the perfect place to display his talent

Goalkeeper Herbert Schotterl is hoping success at Dartford this season will put him in the shop window.
Schotterl answered boss Tony Burman’s call to replace the out-of-form Deren Ibrahim last month.
The 23-year-old German is hoping to land a full-time deal in English football next season and knows impressive displays will boost his cause.
“My aim is to impress as I want to be full-time next season,” said Schotterl. “If I can do that by performing well for Dartford, then great.
“I like the club, everyone has been nice to me. I spoke to the fans in the bar for hours after my first home game.
“I couldn’t ask for any better club to play at and we just need to make sure we bounce back in the league now.”
Schotterl is no stranger to life in England, having spent a year with Watford. The 6ft 4in keeper is keen to make the grade in this country, leaving Germany to trial at Fulham.
He said: “I’ve been trialling quite a lot. I had a running contract at Inter Leipzig but decided to come back to England in mid-January.
“I miss the people, the country and the style of play. I think my style is suited to the English game.
“A big mentor of mine is Martin Brennan, who I got to know when I was on trial at Fulham before and I go on a pro camp with him every year. He was at Fulham for many years and helped me out.
“I see Marcus Bettinelli, who played here on loan before, every day at Fulham and he told me it was a good set-up at Dartford, a good manager and great set of lads.
“He said it would be a good start for me and that’s what I’m looking for as I want to show myself on the stage here.”
