Dartford striker Duane Ofori-Acheampong looking forward to the play-offs

Duane Ofori-Acheampong can’t wait to attack the play-offs after missing out with Dover a year ago.
The Dartford striker is set to lead the line over two legs against Chelmsford and is excited to get stuck into the biggest games of the season.
Ofori-Acheampong didn’t feature in either leg of Dover’s semi-final against Forest Green but he’s now central to Dartford’s National League South promotion hopes.
"It’s definitely showtime," said the 24-year-old.
"At this stage of the season, to have something to play for, it’s exciting.
"Going into the play-offs, there’s no fear factor, it’s more a case of looking forward to it."
Ofori-Acheampong’s goal in the 4-0 win over Bishop’s Stortford on Saturday was his ninth in 42 appearances since joining Dartford in August.
He said: "I’ve definitely felt the benefit, personally and physically, of playing more regularly.
"Coming down a league to do that, it’s put me back in the window and now being in the play-offs, it’s big games like this people get excited for. It’s given me a good boost.
"This time last year I was in the same position with Dover but I wasn’t getting as much game time so I didn’t feel the involvement.
"This season I’ve played a lot of games and I feel like I’ve been part of the run up to it. I feel valued, going into games knowing that I’m going to start or that I’ve got enough time to change something.
"Watching that game at Forest Green, being in the stands was disappointing but in a way it was a good thing.
"It gave me that buzz to think 'next season and the season after, I’m going to be in positions where I can get promoted'."
