Dartford FC ready to visit Glenn Tamplin's Billericay Town in National League South

Adam Flanagan has had his say on colourful Billericay owner Glenn Tamplin ahead of Dartford’s game there on Saturday.
Darts joint-boss Flanagan lives in the Essex town and has followed their story since mega-rich Tamplin took over in December 2016.
This weekend he’ll stand in the away dugout as Dartford bid to upset the National League South title favourites on their own patch.
Tamplin, brash and outspoken, has already sacked a manager and put Ricay up for sale this season.
Flanagan said: “I would praise Glenn on what he’s done for the town.
“The crowds were around 300 when I used to watch them but that’s changed and they’re getting bigger gates now. There’s a lot more people talking about the local team, which is positive.
“Because non-league is the way it is and there’s been people before that have put lots of money in and then disappeared, Glenn’s getting tarnished with that brush.
“If I was a Billericay fan, I’d live for the moment.
“They’ve made some stellar signings for this level and they’ll be up there again. They’ve already shown it with the start they’ve had.
“There’s a lot made of the social media side of things, maybe Glenn is his own worst enemy there.
“But you get plenty of chairmen voicing their opinions on social media these days, sometimes coming across more as a fan.
“People are quick to think it’ll end negatively there and that might be the outcome but he’s still there 18 months down the line, putting his money into the squad and you can’t knock him.”
Charlie Sheringham is suspended but Jamie Philpot could feature if he comes through training tonight (Thursday).
The game will probably come too soon for Tom Murphy, while Callum Driver (hip) is also out.
Flanagan said: “It’s disappointing to lose Charlie because I thought he played well on Saturday (against Eastbourne Borough), especially in the first half.
“He’s brought a voice into the dressing room that wasn’t there so it’s disappointing but he’ll still be at the
game.
“It gives someone else an opportunity and it’s up to them to take it.
“Charlie has shown enough for us to want to give him a run of starts and unless we put in a big performance at the weekend and get a positive outcome, he’ll be looking to come back into the team.”
