Dartford could move inside the National South play-off places for the first time this weekend with a win at bottom club Bishop’s Stortford.

A win last Saturday at home to Hemel Hempstead left the Darts just one point adrift but boss Tony Burman knows the table counts for little right now.

He said: “I am pleased with where we are in the league but nothing is won in November.

“We have a tough few months ahead and we’re trying to get the players ready for it. We’ve tried to be consistent and when we’ve lost one we have tried to make sure we don’t lose again. Last Saturday we bounced back and credit to the players.

“We just have to keep it going. We have our targets that we set ourselves each month and we’re near enough right on it.

“It would be nice to get into the top five because we have had such a good run but when it happens it happens and if it does, we then have to make sure we stay there.”

Dartford have been drawn away to league rivals Weston in the third qualifying round of the FA Trophy. Ties will be played on Saturday, November 26, with £4,000 prize money at stake.
