The British Touring Car Championship’s visit to Brands Hatch in June has been moved to maximise spectator attendance.
Minor revisions have been made to the calendar by the championship organisers TOCA and it means the first of two visits to the Kent circuit will be two weeks later than first scheduled, now taking place on the weekend of June 26/27.
Last week the British Truck Racing Championship was also moved in a bid to have spectators in attendance.
Restrictions on social distancing are planned to end on June 21 as set out by the government in their roadmap to ending lockdown.
Sporting venues will be back open for spectators in mid-May but only at limited capacity.
The change of date, from June 12/13, has been moved to “further maximise the opportunity for spectators to attend.”
Brands Hatch will hold the season finale on October 23/24 on their grand prix circuit.
