James Tredwell captains England in the second t20 international against New Zealand at The Oval on Thursday.
The 31-year-old Kent skipper leads the side after Eoin Morgan was ruled out of the game with a hand injury, as England look to level the two-match series, following Tuesday's five-run defeat at Kennington.
Kevin Pietersen replaces Morgan in the one-change from the game, as England look to avenge the Black Caps first ever win in the shortest form of the game in this country.
The call continues an impressive international summer for Tredwell as replacement for Graeme Swann.
The Kent man has made 19 one-day international appearances for England, including five this summer. He has also played six international t20s taking three wickets at 55 runs apiece.
