On-loan striker Alex Wall has been hailed as a big part of Dartford’s battle to survive in Skrill Premier.

Wall last week extended his loan spell from parent club Luton Town for a third month and then scored both goals in Dartford’s 2-0 win at Hyde on Saturday.

The centre-forward has now scored three in his last two games and six in 10 since initially joining from the Hatters in January.

Dartford manager Tony Burman said: "He’s a big presence in every nature of the word. He’s a big lad and he’s done ever so well for us. He’s strong and scored some goals, so he must be enjoying it.

"He did well with Danny Harris on Saturday. He scored a good goal at Cambridge and he got two goals on Saturday. Long may it continue because that’s what we need, someone who can do that."

Wall’s goals have won the Darts 10 precious points but just having him in the team gives his team-mates a psychological boost.

Burman said: "When you’re creating chances and scoring goals, it gives the team belief. It’s definitely helped us, that’s for sure.

"He’s a good lad. He’s adapted, he’s come in and done well, settled in well. That’s good. If you’ve got players who are happy off the pitch, they’ll be happy on it."
