A new manager has been appointed at the Marquis restaurant in the Alkham Valley.
Charl Oberholster has joined the restaurant, which he brands as one of Kent’s “finest venues”.
He comes from the Sheen Falls Lodge in Ireland.
Mr Oberholster said: “The Marquis continues to go from strength to strength and I’m looking forward to working with the team to build on the incredible success they have achieved.
“It is one of just six restaurants in the county to hold 3 AA rosettes and has garnered numerous good reviews for its 10 bedrooms and two cottages.”
His first port of call has been to attend the Best of Britain and Ireland show in Birmingham in a bid to promote the premises.
He added: "This is one of the finest venues in Kent and we want to shout about it."
